If we can influence the way people perceive us through our style, we have the power to convey the right message to our audience.
The fabulously stylish and unapologetically vivacious Peta is the ‘heart & style’ behind Peta Preston Image Stylist. Peta has created a career whereby her love for people looking and feeling their best, a fascination with human relationships and a platform to advocate positive body image can co-exist and grow amidst a backdrop of great fashion.Cutting loose from the Corporate World in 2010, Peta became a Mother of two and found the path to juggling motherhood with her fashion passion meant becoming part of a great team in one of Australia’s busiest retail boutiques. From many hours talking with women and challenging long held negative body image narratives, Peta could see a place where her unique skills could be used to truly make a difference. She identified the significant lack of ‘personal’ styling that was evident in the retail setting. Taking the bit between the teeth, Peta completed an Advanced Certificate of Professional Style & Image at Australian Style Institute, home of Australia’s leading style and image professionals, with a view to starting her own consultancy. Their unique method of styling is founded in critical principles of human behaviour – enabling her as a Professional Stylist to offer a distinctive perspective on styling that empowers her clients. In 2016 Peta was awarded ‘The One to Watch’ Award by Australian Style Institute. This was a monumental moment for Peta in her styling career. Since then, she has assisted clients to successfully shop their own wardrobe, refine their style and shop for the perfect versatile, trans-seasonal capsule wardrobe. In April 2017 Peta was crowned “Best Dressed” at Diner en Blanc Perth. Gracing the social pages wearing her stunning diamond and pearl necklace awarded by Major Sponsor’s Linneys, she was later a guest contributor to a fashion piece in The Western Australian and Stylist for a recent fashion shoot for a fun new cook book soon to be released called ‘There’s a carrot in my piñata’. Peta is currently working on a new and exciting initiative. As an extension of her Personal Styling Business, she has sourced ‘specific key pieces’ that will be available for sale on her e-boutique store ‘Stylist Wardrobe’. Peta resides in Perth and services clients both here and in Adelaide. She is a rare talent with a keen eye for fashion. Her lovely grounded personality and effortless ability to truly connect with people, is her defining point of difference in the fashion industry today.
