If you’re like most us of, you will definitely find it hard to keep up with all the latest happenings around town, so we have compiled a list of a few upcoming events that are not to be missed. If you can free up some time, here are some dates to add to your diary:
Social Impact Festival: This is on now, in fact, it started on July 18th and runs through till Friday, 28th July. The festival is all about creating positive social change, sharing insights and ideas. There are a number of events that run during the festival and we have outlined a couple that you should check out:
- Tuesday 25th July, 7.30am – 9.00am “Leading Positive Social Change Through Business”
- Tuesday 25th July, 10.00am – 11.00am – “What’s Your Marketing Why? Workshop”
- Thursday 27th July 2.00pm – 5.00pm “Finding Your Golden Thread”

Disrupted Festival of Ideas: On Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July the Disrupted Festival of Ideas will showcase a series of events that challenge the status quo, covering a variety of topics from over 30 creative thinkers. This is an annual initiative from the State Library of Western Australia and all events are free. You can visit their site to view the program of everything that’s on but here are some suggestions for you:
- Saturday 29th July, 1.00pm – 2:15pm “Our Voices: Disrupting Australian Media”
- Saturday 29th July, 2.30pm – 2.30pm “Digging into Resilience”
- Saturday 29th July, 4.00pm – 5.00pm “Words Matter: Tara Moss Talks About The Power Of Speaking Out”
Starting a Business In Australia: Thursday 24th August, 5.00pm – 7.00pm. This is a free session hosted by The Small Business Development Corporation and will cover everything you need to know about starting a business. This is perfect for anyone who is about to embark on their entrepreneurial journey and wanting to know the essentials. Click here for details.
Telstra Business Women Awards: Keep the evening of Tuesday 24th October free as this is the Western Australian Awards Gala Dinner event. Tickets aren’t available yet but all information will be released on the Telstra Business Women Awards website in the coming months.
Lastly, we have to mention our Behind the Brands Launch in Busselton on Friday 28th July. This is a free event for all South West women to come together, find out more about Behind the Brands and meet other like-minded women.
